From your cara membership fee (a minimum 10%), and from fundraising, we're aiming to raise some valuable funds which we can donate to causes and charities, be they in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, Yorkshire, or even nationwide.

In 2010 we donated £100.00 to St Gemma's Hospice, the nominated cause for the Chapel Allerton Food Festival. St Gemma's provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their families.

At our 2nd Birthday in October 2011, we asked everyone who came along to vote for a cause to receive a donation. Leeds Mind was chosen and we subsequently sent them £150.00. Leeds Mind supports hundreds of people with mental health problems, with the firm belief that they can live full and active lives.

Our Big Jubilee Lunch this year was in support of Leeds Mencap, who have their Rookery gardens in Chapel Allerton, and £65.00 has been donated to them as a result. Thank you to everyone who donated any money on the day.
